Pool decks are a great way of integrating your pool and your yard. Decks provide a smooth transition from the elemental excitement of a swimming pool to the familiar surroundings of your home.
What kind of pool deck do you want to surround your swimming pool?
Pool decks for above-ground swimming pools are generally made of wood, composite, and PVC. There are more options with their in-ground counterparts, including stone, concrete and pool pavers.
Whatever you choose, remember:
- Good decking materials resist excessive heat absorption.
- Good decking materials will not become slippery when wet.
- Good decking materials are easy on bare feet (eliminate splinters).
